During our last week of outreach, we unexpectedly met an American organization/church that had established various carepoints throughout Swaziland and Mozambique. Children's Cup was an awesome group of people and it was a real blessing to see what God was doing through them.

Cabrini Ministries

Cabrini is a Catholic mission organization in a rural area of Swaziland that focuses on orphan care, AIDS clinics, agricultural sustenance, and education. We stayed at this mission for two weeks and joined their efforts in making it a nicer home for the children through painting, building a fence, decorating and cleaning dormitories, and organizing an Olympic Day. These two weeks were probably the most difficult for me, but through it God taught me to endure and gave me a better understanding of Swazi culture and His heart for orphans.

Pigg's Peak, Swaziland

For one week, we stayed with a pastor's family in Pigg's Peak and helped out with her ministry in the nearby village. We distributed clothing, served food at the weekly soup kitchen, and met the village people through door-to-door evangelism. Our team experienced a lot of breakthrough this week in terms of overcoming fear and releasing the power of our testimonies.

The most adventurous thing I did during outreach was absailing (aka repeling). The view was amazing but I have to admit that I almost wet my pants =)









We were also blessed with the opportunity to safari at Kruger Park for free! It wasn't as exciting as I expected but we did see some animals in wildlife.

Mbabane, Swaziland

Swaziland is a small but very beautiful country. The first week, we stayed at the YWAM base in Mbabane and worked with Motjane Hope House, an orphanage/church for teenage boys (the kids in red shirts). We visited church members' homes and spent time sharing the Word and praying for sick people. We also worked in the Hope House garden and picked corn from a maize field! Sadly, the corn was too hard for us to eat.















Note: we wore the same team t-shirt every single day of outreach.

Local Outreach

The first two weeks of outreach were spent in Worcester doing hospital and children's ministries. These are some of my favorite photos of my teammates and kids. Some of them were taken at an AIDS daycare center that takes care of about 15 infants and children that are victims of HIV.
